Q1: Can Umsiti Health treat emergency medical conditions?

A: No. If you are experiencing severe symptoms (e.g., chest pain, difficulty breathing, seizures), please go to the nearest emergency facility or call 112/10111.

Q2: Will my medical records be shared with third parties?

A: No. Umsiti Health protects your personal information under POPIA and only shares data with third parties if required by law or if you explicitly consent (e.g., pharmacy, referred specialists).

Q3: Can I get prescriptions through the app?

A: Yes. After a consultation, your provider can issue a digital prescription, which you can download or send to a registered pharmacy of your choice.

Q4: What happens if my doctor is late or doesn’t show up?

A: If your provider misses a session, Umsiti will reschedule the appointment or issue a credit to your account for use with another provider.

Q5: How do I cancel a subscription?

A: You can cancel via your dashboard at least 7 days before the next billing cycle. Late cancellations will apply to the next month.

Q6: Is Umsiti Health covered by medical aid?

A: Umsiti Health is not a registered medical aid. Some insurers may reimburse your consultation if you submit a valid invoice, but this is at their discretion.
